I just set myself up with Logitech Z-640 and I need to know how I can Protect my preferences when I switch between programs.

I.E. - when I use WMP to play a movie or music track, which has its own presets, as soon as I close the program, and I use a different program, two things happen. One, if the previous program uses plug-ins like EAX, the effects settings carry over to my next program (like my audio tracks - reverb, et. al.) which I do not want.
Two, Logitech can't help me with my center channel and surround issues when I record via Net Meeting, et al. Please help.

What does logitech have to do with sound blaster live? Are they marketing a clone or something?
