Ok there's this zip drive i want to buy but it says it uses 2.0 USB. I have a USB but i dont' know if it's 2.0 USB. I tried looking to see if under system information would tell me but it didn't show any number or really much besides just saying USB. So can anyone help me in trying to addentify what USB i have.

I'm not sure about finding out whether you got 2.0 or not, I just know it came with my mobo when i bought, it not sure where you can get that information.
You might try AIDA32, it might have it.
But you do know that all 2.0 devices will work with usb 1, it is backward compatible, so it doesn't really matter, what your usbs are, just be a difference in how fast of transfer you get.

    ^ I agree there...

but check with your motherboard manufacturer to find out if your USB 2.0 compatible.
USB 2.0 devices with generally work with older USB 1.1, just at the slower transfer rate.

if you don't know your motherboard manufacturer, do something like Belarc or that Aida sys info thing.

And of course, you can always just buy a USB 2.0 PCI slot card to go in, those are usually only like 20 bucks, probably less with rebates.
