Playing Recorded Vids

i record some in game videos, and i tried opening them with wmp and bsplayer, and it doesn't work. wat kind of vid file is it?

convert it with virtualdub to an avi or mpeg

i'll try that. but not now. i have some other things to take care of. anyone else having this prob?
