    hey anyone who downloaded the windows 98se off of kazaa lite(it was the only one there) is it installing 98 or 98SE?

    Its 98se, just got coz didn't know what to download. I haven't installed it though so im not sure if it works, but its virus free, error free and looks like its all there. Not sure why you would want 98 though.

    I downloaded this last year (on a 56k connection - took ages&#33 - I'll find it and put it up for sharing again

    It is the proper version of 98SE, it has a text-file with the CD-Key in and it installs from anywhere. I have installed it on one system, and it is fine - Windows Update works okay et al.

    When installing, it's quite quick if you copy all the files to a directory like 'WINSETUP' on a newly formatted drive, then run setup from there. Also, that way, you never need to put the CD or whatever back in when it needs drivers & such like in future.
