Another way is is for linux ISO files

why spend 5 or 10 hours dling from a ftp when you can get it from BT in half the time

and fianlly there are many other Open Source programs that are on BT

I sure you know what the Leagal stuff is and what the Illeaglal stuff is.

ok lemme get this straight, its legal to use BT, so is it possible to get caught? is it the safest downloading client out there compared to kazaa, emule,mirc,fast track, etc?

you can get caught using BT

if you want saftey route yourslef through about 50 annaymous proxy servers and then spoof you ip addy and use IRC

every time you type you insert foot into month
it was made to transfer large educational files and videos databases etc.
it was never intended for what its used for today, hence all the security flaws

as is the present internet we communicate on if i am correct..

Bittorrent is no more illegal than the purpose of a mail box... it is a method of movement, WHAT YOU MOVE is what counts...

Yeah, you can get caught using Bit Torrent... if you have one of "THOSE" ISPs. But there are safety precautions like anything else. Try searching info on:

- Routers
- NATs
- VPNs (Virtual Private Netwoks)
- Firewalls, Anti-virus, anti-spyware programs
- Anonimous Proxies

You can set the used ports higher.
There's plenty you can do to feel better.
