6pm new years eve I drove thru my town and a girl (approx 14 y/o) layed in the door of a shop with a real short skirt on, sober, laughing with a group of lads, legs open and no knickers!!!.......If I was her dad I would have gone ape shit
14 is NOT acceptable!!! Period!!
I'm not being square or anything but 14 ??.......She's still a child, she can't vote, drink, smoke, drive or be convicted of anything!!
She is a child, an 18 y/o is classed as adult, although I still disagree with that too.
Sorry, just MO

Sparkle, alot of the people who are replying to this have been here longer then you. Its someones opinion, doesnt mean the board is going bad or anything
Most of the people dont find it sick..Most find that its the society that would be the problem.. But you also have ur opinions, and ill take them into mind
UKMan, very respectable that you trusted ur daughter with that.. If i do decide to go out with her, I hope her dad will to

It may not seem like a huge gap, but there's a reason why the age of consent is 16. Sure, you may not be havin sex but people will make their own conclusions about you and it only takes her to say something to a friend and you could be in alot of trouble.
One of my friends (also 18) went out with a 14 year old and the entire community thought he was a pervert, you may have good intentions but society sucks.
But then you have to do what you think is right.....
Good luck

So I am / was: Illegal, Wrong, Strange, Sick, Gross bla bla bla... [yes I do take this personal]
Hmmz, I never considered myself that way.... I was never told by my parents, friends, teachers and what not, I guess they were all wrong eh?
Better yet, I think I'm gonna call my ex to tell him what a sick-pedo-pervert he was back then, and that I am gonna sue him. Cause that seems the right thing to do... Maybe I should even warn his new wife to keep an eye on him while he is bathing with their kid... considering he IS a sick-pedo-pervert.....
Actually, I think I am a rather normal person and so is my ex, you think we go to Hell now, for being in love at age 14 - 18?
Please forgive us our sins, it will never happen again, I promise!
@ Jonno, The picture you describe is NOT what this thread was about, the subject is being in love, not having a gang bang at age 14!
BTW: It is okay for 12 year olds [yes we have them aboard] to view that Porn thread? Its rather explicit even though the penises and vagina's are pixelated. I know its not the same but still.... think about it... Smells like hypocrisy to me.

@Linda - you make very valid points and i'm soooo glad its a lady making these statements, because if it had been a bloke, like me for instance, then all hell would break loose
I cant speak for Jonno, so i wont.
Lets also try to remember that we all come from different enviroments and this has a lot of influence over how we think. Allthough this isnt the case all the time of course. Different countries have different laws and the Eastern cultures are even more liberal than we are - i just think its a shame that parents are not given more controll over how they think their own families should run. Of course o lot of parents havn't the faintest idea either of how to take care of their kids, but thats not a reason to take away these rights from all parents. Making laws also hinders those who have differing opinions - think about that for a while too.
My daughter was bought up in a very liberal manner and has turned out to be a wonderfull girl - having a baby soon - shes 21 btw now B)
Peace

Depends on the circumstances.
Does the guy seem honest?
Is she "mature" enough? [there are differences in 14 year olds and 14 year olds]
If so, yes.
Why not? If it works out for them then good, if it doesn't, well, bad luck, thats how it goes, whether you are 14 or 16. You can't prevent your kids from heartache anyway.
If my parents had prohibited to go out with him, I would have done it secretly because we were truly in love and no wild horses could have dragged me away from him! [and vice versa]
Its better to approve and keep an eye on them then to tell them they can't and they do it anyway and you wont have an eye on them, see what I mean?

Manker's web totty
Ah, I see the sanity has returned. (hooray for SL and Ukkie)
I simply cannot understand that people are shocked because of a boy and a girl having feelings for each other when there is a 4-year difference.
In the thread about the guns most people are just joking around while those things are a bigger threat to everyones life
I stick to my guns (ha ha ha) and say: go for it leafs, if you have feelings for each other, then at least you should explore them a bit further. You might regret it if you don't.
