Yup, it's pretty evident that something changed in terms of compilation between PR1 and RC12. It is not possible to get a working PR1 installation file after changing the icon yet the RC12 file operates 100% after you do the same thing.
Did you change the compile method this time round???

I think it would have had something to do with the 7-zip compressing as well, Lite. The default icon you get on the files is a creation of 7-zip's, the bigger Inno Setup installation file inside of it has a different icon which is hardcoded so that it cannot be changed without breaking the whole thing.
In the past, many 7-zip compressed installation files from this forum had no conflicts with ResHack's icon changing, in particular the old Codec Packs and the compressed Kazaa Lite K++ 2.4.3 exe. But I seem to recall none of the #KLChat builds allowed clean icon changing for some reason. I'm kinda sure this had something to do with 7-Zip and less Inno Setup, but I can't quite work it out...

Everyone - I replaced the kazaa.exe in the nsane edition on my site to the one that waas in the #klchat builds, should solve most people's errors...

Why can't i get this version to connect? I have the kazaa incoming port set to 5536, it is open and forwarded and yet my router still logs the following errors... This is the first time i've tried anything above 2.4.3 so some help would be appreciated!!!

After installing Rc12 sites such as download.com became distorted probably because of the hosts. In the next rc can you add an option for supertrick and then another one for the actual k-lite program? thanks

rafi_d - when i updated my installer i noticed the working kazaa.exe is around 100 bytes bigger than the faulty one, dont remember exact sizes though
