when installign kazaa it asks if you want to include the supertrick. it says that it blocks some ads on websites. does it only black those adds when kazaa is open, and what ads does it block? thanks
The supertrick sites that are included in any kazaa lite versions includes sites that
blocks kazaa's adwares inside the program.
like the "web" startup page or upgrade checking site that the program
use to (maybe still) connect, to see if your using an updated version.
...and Plus the supertrick includes other unrelated advertising sites.
which are used to block banners from a website.
if you only want sites that just blocks kazaa's adware sites, here:
(i've compiled these sites that came from different kazaa lite versions
so mad props for those people who discovered those sites)

the 2.4.? came from the original kazaa lite K++ and the 2.6.? came from clean kazaa, i think...im not very sure.
but, i'm pretty sure that those sites are important to kazaa media desktop
because when i tryed to installed the KMD program (yes the ones with adwares)
it automatically made them all a comment (#).
..and if you gus have other KMD related ad sites hey please post it. thanks

so, could you put the address of ads in your hosts file and then just put you local hoast ip before it and it will always say page unavailable for that ad? or will it block the whole page with the ad on it?
how do i get the address of the ads i see?

how do you make an entry to redirect a site to another?
example:
38.25.63.10 x.acme.com
[to here]<--[from here ]
you need the ip to redirect something in this case x.acme.com to 38.25.63.10
i dont think you can put a website inplace for the ip like:
www.test.com x.acme.com

You can redirect to any site you want, instead of 127.0.0.1, put the IP of another site - that way another site will come up,
Or run eDexter and itll replace the error messages with a image of your choice

Goto http://remember.mine.nu/ a host file with over 18000 ads servers etc.
Really speeds up browsing.
Goto http://www.mvps.org/winhelp2002/hosts.htm#Rename for a batch which will rename the host file when you want. Turn on/off
