recently my XP downloaded critical update. i think this was included. and it seemed the problem stopped, but it is good for the non-XPers.

yeah same here, i believe my xp auto updates every so often

2k has that autoupdate for critical updates too.... But i for one hate that thing and always disable it cause I got enough stuff running all the time as it is and I check for updates myself about once a week or so..
