ad/remove windows options?
As explained a million times previously... you can't remove Windows Media Player. It is an intregal part of the Windows OS, such as Internet Explorer that it can't be removed. If you have a problem with the software, ensure you have the latest version, and use another media player.

@Pinko_X: why do you want to uninstall the Windows media?
Can't you just not use it?
Anyway,I'm not sure if you can uninstall it since it's a part of the package.
Uninstall Windows Media Player 9
Click 'Start', 'Run', type
RunDll32 advpack.dll,LaunchINFSection %windir%\INF\wmp.inf,Uninstall
and hit Enter.
thanks.Originally posted by Zedaxax@6 January 2004 - 19:19

This does not cleanly- uninstall it- you have to manually delete
C:\Program Files\Windows Media Player
and run a registry cleaner afterwards
(there are more references to it elswhere but its too complex)
just out of curiousity, why do you want to uninstall that software?
i dunno, something to do
okay, how about a registry cleaner?
i know of tweak xp, but preferably without having to install more software just to clean registry files.
the thing is i only have 2.70 GB left on my hard drive
RegSeeker is the best Registry Cleaner I've found. Free, small and no install neccesary.
Hmm.. I tried using XpLite to remove WMP 9, but it caused some problems, but I really hate the player. I think I'll try something else.
