Are you trying to open a old floppy ? like formated under win 98 then your trying to use with winxp, different formats one uses fat 16 or 32 i belive. xp is ntsf could be your trouble? Was mine .. try making a start up disk then try to open you,ll know right away
ps did they install with a wrong cable, should be twisted cable like split sort of hard to explain lol
