Thread: Pc To Hdtv

    All,

I have been enjoying DivX and others for a year now and the next step I want is to see those movies on a BIG screen.
In fact I want to buy a TV but NOT a projection TV, a real Tube.
Now to connect, there is the composite input ... low definition in fact.

What would you recommend to have real XGA on a TV .... DVI ...what ...???

I hope you have ideas because I trully beleive that the "PC next Generation" will be sitting just below your TV pretty soon.

I have seen Micro$oft Media center ... looks very good but in a way ... APPLE should be the one doing that .. no ?

Anyway, what kind of link would you put between your PC and your TV ... (I am not going to buy a plasma BTW... )

    Thanks,
    Speos.

well ... they do have 24 inch wide-screen format LCD MONITORS that come with built in TV receivers ...

which makes it basically a ultra-high-res TV ?

priced abit higher than a same-sized hdtv

I see computers turning into all-in-one machines 15-20 years from now, maybe sooner.....will not be TVs or stereos.....but I could be wrong.I mean can't you watch TV broadcast on certain moniters now?

Most modern Video cards have S-video outputs that can be connected directly to TV's. Sound is a different story.
