second: if i allow to connect then for sure i had to close my telnet app for several times.

but no need to reboot !!!

    i forgot:

for people who do not use a firewall:

just set your security options in ie explorer to HIGH especially let you prompt "active scripting".

ok: klick on the url ... and you are asked to prompt if a script should run

klick NO and then you can look at the source code of the.jpg file cause you know right now, that this is a file with script inside.

then YOU can decide if you want to run that script or not.

How would one do this using Sygate Pro? I can't seem to find anything regarding scripts in the options page. Also, would anyone recommend using 'stealth mode browsing' using Sygate Pro.

Disable scripts mate through your browser settings. For ie ,at the top ,tools ,internet options ,security ,custom level, then have a scroll through the options.

Or install something like popupcop & you'll have all your internet setting with a click of the mouse , on/off.

Agreed. These tests that we've been seeing recently are just highlighting some of the potential dangers we, as a community, could find ourselves in.

When people whine that they've had to reboot their PC because of this, do they ever stop to think about why they had to in the first place? Surely their top of the range 'Intel Pentium 10 with Sidewinder Missiles inc. Pentagon Grade Firewall' should be able to stop these scripts.

I think this is a lesson for us all to take heed - there is threats out there far powerful then what we have been shown. If you can't at least acknowledge this, then may god have mercy on your PC.

    @ FKDUP74 - Nice post. I recommend Mozilla.
