I've just downloaded metal gear solid but (as I expected) am currently stuck as I don't know the radio frequency they put on the back of the CD case as protection. Can anyone possibly tell me what it is?

I remember reading about this ages ago before I downloaded it. There's a radio frequency (for someone you need to contact) in a screenshot on the back of the case or manual or something like that. You need it on order to progress any further. Surely someone who frequents this forum must have actually bought the game.

You can find them by searching with Google.

True, but when I searched before asking here it gave me some random incorrect ones like 134.78 (which the radio won't even allow you to try to contact). I've checked after seeing this and the real one is there as well. I always serch for things before asking if I think they might have been asked before but point taken.
Just though I'd add that 140.15 definitely is the correct one in case anyone else is looking.

Right have you tried a cover website and looked for the PC covers for the game they are high quailty on google type "Cd Covers" and look for mega search.
This should be able to find Metal Gear Solid PC or PSX covers good luck.

I didn't mean anything by my suggestion to search Google. I only said it because I did the exact same thing just a few weeks ago, but I couldn't remember the site where I found them. B)
By the way, maybe the bogus ones you found were for the Playstation version. I'm not sure if they use the same frequencies in the PC port.
