Bad Frames In Dl Movie

Hi, don't know if this is the right forum but here goes.
I haqve dl Bruce almighty from kazaa and it is in the form of two mpeg files. I have tried joining them with TMPGenc but when you encode them the film finishes 10 mins early. Whenm I examined the 2nd file i foun that just at the point the encoded film finishes there is what i can only discribe as a "shimmer" or "wave" down the screen. Ah hah, I thought, thasts the problem. Now what do I need to correct this so that I can go ahead and encode this film and burn it to dvd.
