Thread: 16 Bit Ms Dos Error?

  1. #1
    Maybe a stupid question, but..

2x clicking the downloaded application gives a "16 bit ms dos" error message about being unable to create a temp file or something.

More specific information about the program and the error would help.

If you're using XP, you could try right-clicking on the file, select "Properties" and change the compatibility to Windows 95.

Sorry but I thought this was a common issue...

    The application is Sims3000..

At first it showed up as just an application, resulting in that error, but it changed to a zip file suddenly and I git it to work.

I found out what the issue was tho.. it was specifically looking for a temp dir on the C drive to unzip, I had moved the file to a partition on my G drive. It unzipped fine from the C drive.

    Thanks for your help.

If the error looks like that then open it with "IsoBuster".
