    How do I change the file extension?

    What is re starting going to do?
    It doesn't change anything.

    Right click--rename.

    xxxx.exe to xxxx.iso

    restarting will close any applications that may be associating itself with the file.
    Or Ctrl+alt+delete and close the known process that may be stopping you from moving the file.

    Download WinRAR, and try and open the file with WinRAR.

    I prefer PowerArchiver 2003 and would especially recommend it for anyone that is not familiar with rar files.

    Need to change the file extension to .rar first though

    ok I shut down and re booted, and voila I moved the file to a new folder, and I right clicked and renamed the file to "Quickb... .iso" and a message comes up saying are you sure ? this file may become unusable. I haven't selected yes yet. And if I do what happens then what do I do?

    Select Yes, then go download WinRAR and install it. After that if the file is indeed an ISO, you will be able to open it with WinRAR and extract it's contents.

    He doesn't. WinRAR can open ISO files. If it is indeed an ISO, it should be fine.

    Ok, which one do I use?
    Why can't I just open an .exe all of a sudden?
    And What Extension do I change it to??
