do you have norton systemworks or a similar program?

you may need to clean out your protected recycle bin...?

the protected recycle bin is normally associated with norton products and is basically a second recycle bin...

if you accidently delete a file, then delete the file from the recycle bin, norton protected recycle bin should let you recover the file without having to resort to other software such as easy ontrack recovery or encase...

if you don't have norton, don't worry about the protected recycle bin, you won't have one

is it possible there are any hidden files on the drive?

go into your drive, go to the tools menu>folder options>view>check "show hidden and system files" then check the drive again...

did you empty/purge the recycle bin?
