Glad to hear your staying SH.

Ok.. back on topic...
Firebird fan am I

I like the extensions for installing extra search engines...
Google is only one of many brillant search tools that can be plugged right into my search bar... I also have dictionary.com, a thesaurus, the IMDB and Wikipedia only a click away at all times...

One feature I think is just fantastic is how i can right click on a ad banner or picture anywhere on a webpage and choose to block it forever... no matter what filetype it is... I can even block those crappy .swf ads that some adblockers don't touch.

Security is another big plus... for example: that link muchspl posted a while back to test folk's browsers... my firebird took it all in stride and just refused to load the dodgy .jpg with the funky code in it, while some folks using IE would've had to reboot or sit there repeatedly hitting alt+F4...

Half of the browser exploits on the web are aimed squarly at IE because of Mr Gates' "popularity". Thats one less thing I have to worry about when I surf dodgy warez sites.

All this and it's still just a beta version...Imagine how much Firebird will kick ass when it actually goes final.

I like myie2, its just more productive, I can high lite and drag it and it opens another window and does a google search on the word/words
plus the pop up blocker, just wish it was more secure

Your missing a lot of features of firebird.

It does have google toolbar support among a few others you left out.

That and the fact that "yourie2" is related to ie which is a major turn off..

If was not based so much on ie then I think it may be a little more appealing.

And I can do without a lot of thoose:

AD Hunter-- dont need it
Quick Web Services-- no comment
Super Drag&Drop?-- Is that drag and dropped just supersized?
Skinning-- poor nowhere near firebirds themes.

I tried yourie2 and it looked more less like a homeless beat up version of Internet Explorer. An ie reject I suppose. Maybe the developers didnt put too much emphasis on looks. But performance wise its pretty lightweight and could be an "alternative" if my firebird ever starts screwing up or something.

Just my opinion though. Im sure yours may differ.

That's true. At the very least, developed extensions mean that Firebird can have Mouse Gestures as well as MyIE2.

But this part gets me

Can you pls tell me where you get your Firebird themes from? Because the ones at the Firebird site aren't exactly much and you get even less when you can only use skins for the version you have

The themes at their theme site are not that great. I got most of my good themes from just surfing around on the net. By doing that youll find a lot more firebird themes that are not on their theme site bu on third party sites.

For instance right now Im using an icandy junior theme that I got from a link that sh posted. Thanks sh

But yes its very important that you "only" install themes for only the build you have and it sucks when you see that great theme and cant install it.

I just tried all of those things with Firebird. It did the lot, thanks to the extensions I've got installed.
Check this list out if extensibility and productivity is what your after:
