Has anyone tried AVG antivirus???
I've been Using it For a Couple Years now and it Hasn't let me down yet and The definitions are updated often.
No Money, No Ads (except for during initial registration), No Spyware, No Guilt (as if we have any)
try Avg Antivirus If you want but they will need a valid E-mail to send you a reg code

If I remember correctly, one of these little suckers is a trojan! It may be one of the other ones running around on kazaa! Go to http://search.symantec.com/custom/us/query.html
and type "kazaa" and you'll find out just how many viruses are out there just for kazaa! Protect yourself! Get NAV 2003 soon! I use it and it really works!

Hello,
This is my first post so sorry if this subject has already been discussed. Is it at all possible to do something about the W32 helphandy virus that is specific to Kazaa. Norton A/V finds and kills it, but it must mean that a lot of Kazaa/kazaalite users are sufficiently nieve/ braindead not to to have good Anti-virus software installed. As I have learned to my cost even with good A/V you can still end up deeply in the shit, with virus infections from Kazaa. In all honesty I do not use Kazaalite unless I really have too, having to wipe the whole computer including the MBR just because you have downloaded an infected file is a pain in the ass. If the majority of the users could get their act together with Anti-virus protection then the problem would virtually solve itself.

As your concern is to other users it's nice to hear but some people are just to stupid not to use AV software or not updating it in time. Too bad but there's nothing you can do about it.
As to your own, just make sure you got an up to date scanner an have fun searching p2p programs.
You'd be pretty save then. B)

i have two diff a/v programs AVG Anti-Virus Free Edition and AntiVir Personal Edition ...... these are two good free programs, i quarantine with avg and antivir then repairs the files, just i have to do i restart in between and avg moved some explorer neede file, so that when i started up it told me:
mistake or damage in explorer
you must reinstall windows
a/v guards don't always do their job properly and i hate norton and mcaffee
btw i had that exact virus, check file names for names that go something like A0+7random#'s that's always the virus. some people are to stupid to change the viruses file name, which you can see on kazaa, not the front name displayed, but the last one.
Greetz,
