    is there a way to set what search engine your web browser uses when you type search in the address bar and then a word?
    yahoo made itself the default search engine when it installed yahoo companion. how would i change it?

    Depends which browser. If IE then, read this

    I use MyIE2 as a browser which is just excellent.

    Google has a hack on their site, if that&#39;s what you&#39;re looking for.

    If you&#39;re not, just DL the hack and edit to suit your engine.
