Woot, finished my first WU, was a 1000 one, only took like 8 hours on my athlon XP 1900, but yet the I'm doing a 2500 on my Athlon XP 3200+ and I'm still at 934/2500 after 24 hours???!!!???

Lots of things affect how long a particular wu takes, not just the number of steps. You may have a very simple molecule with 1000 steps, or a very complex molecule with the same number of steps. Obviously there are a lot more ways a complex molecule can fold, so the process takes much longer. But you should also get a lot more points for the complex one.Originally Posted by Damnatory

Ahh, thanks for clearing that up for me Lynx, it just seemed rather odd that it was taking longer to work on a faster processor. lol
After the first WU, they seem to be going much faster now. The Gromac tags really do help alot!

Just started a tinker, this CAN'T BE SERIOUS!
On an Athlon XP 3200, this thing won't finish until next January!
Is there anyway to kill the current project and start new one?

You've got something seriously wrong there, it takes me about 36hrs to process project 638. Maybe it just hasn't been running long enough to work out the speed, since it hasn't completed a frame yet.

Ok, so it was a glitch I guess as the one that was gonna take like 20 years is now done, but I have something else that seems weird to me as well. It may just be because I've only done like 28 WU's, but, I just got a Amber Core. I thought it was just Gromac and Tinker... Oh well.
