im trying to clip off the start or end of some video files, specifically a couple movies that are just a cunt hair too big to fit on a CDR as a backup (ie. 704 MB, need it at 700 to fit on a cdr). tried windows video editor, but no way that will work. any ideas what program will do this, or websites that might point me in the right direction?

    cheers

ps. used up my trial of Dr. Divx, and has some audio/visual synch problems on occasion with it, so that option is also out for my needs.

Open the video with VirtualDub. Place the seek thingy at the beginning and hit this button:

Then move the seek thingy to 5 min before the movie ends, or where ever you want, and hit this button:

Then click on Video, and pick Direct Stream Copy. Then click on Audio, and Direct Stream Copy.

Then File > Save as AVI... and your done!
