The 8mb buffer is more important.
You will rarely reach the 100 bandwidth. Only the occasional peak. So not as important.
Look into Seagate as another choice.

Yeah I have a seagate right now, very nice! I just think the Samsung is good cuz it has 8MB buffer and ATA133. Do you think that will be ok VB, cuz I mean it does come with 3 year warranty. Is there something wrong with them that you know of?
Hmm..I think I will go with this one.
[SIZE=1]AMD 4200 X2 @ 2.65Ghz, ASRock 939-VSTA

The WD also has a 8mb buffer.

I don't think there is anything "wrong" with it. Just that I would choose another. Just my opinion.Originally posted by bigdawgfoxx@22 January 2004 - 19:09

it is his personal preference... Umm i would actually look around see if anyone has one of these drives, or if a review for the drive has been made... If i is ok then sure go for it... just make sure you don't destroy the box etc so it can be returned... if neccesaryI don't think there is anything "wrong" with it. Just that I would choose another. Just my opinion.
