Although he's looked upon as a freak just now, he will always be remembered for being possibly the most talented musician/artist/entertainer that has ever lived. Anyone who was old enough in the 80's when he released his Bad album will remember just how popular the guy was. The only person I can see reaching anywhere near that same kind of phenomenon is Eminem and when people have long forgotten about jackson eccentricities, they will still remember the great music he produced.

C'mon. Ok the guy was talented but please! There are a few others that might just pip him at the post:

Marvin Gaye;
Bob Dylan;
John Lennon;
Jimi Hendrix;
Bob Marley;
Mozart

to name but a few. They were all way more talented than Michael Jackson.
