try opening the rar file and looking in the comments section on the right side. it may be listed there, or if the site of the releaser is commented anywhere, try using the website as the password.

i just have come across one(nfsu sound tracts, from suprnova.
i'm running the rar password cracker on it, 198h/50minites to go

Only? I use a full alphanumeric charset with 50 special ASCII characters, with a range of 1-20.
