I believe that the Universe is at least partly the work of an deliberate intelligence. It exhibits too much order and linear behaviour to have come into existence by random chance. However, I have no way of understanding or defining such an intelligence, so I&#39;m not even going to try. As to the "God" depicted in the Bible, the Koran, etc, this being was invented by storytellers as a way of answering childrens&#39; unanswerable questions. ( "Dad, why is the sky blue?" "Because God made it that colour." "Who is God?" "A big, tough man in the sky who&#39;ll spank your ass if you don&#39;t stop asking silly questions&#33;" ) Then it was used by powermongers as a means of controlling the masses. This "God" does not exist any more than does Big Brother or Emmanuel Goldstein. As to a Universal Creator, the only possible answer is, I don&#39;t know. Based on what I&#39;ve observed and learned about the Universe, I think there is intelligence behind it, but I can&#39;t prove it one way or the other. What I am sure of, is that any such intelligence would have no more awareness or interest in us and our sordid little world, than you would have in the 3rd electron of the 487,256,385th atom from the end of the 148,756th skin cell below your right index fingernail. Any religion that claims otherwise is therefore pure bullshit.

I wont believe anything until they dissect a Quark and understand what it is all about. I have been trying to help them with this experiment. I was down the woods this morning with a butterfly net try to capture neutrinos for them. I cant understand why they keep getting away.

My friend had to break off her marriage because her dad said she couldnt marry a jewish guy.
