9600xt 128mb Or 256mb

ok i just read a post sum1 wrote saying that 256mb is worse than 128mb because games dont run on that much memory or sumthing like that.

is that true? sorry i dont have more info, ill look for the quote.

should i buy the xt 128mb or 256mb.

I would buy the one with 256 myself, because if it is true, the games will eventually get up that high anyway.

Like I said in your other post--no games use that extra video memory to any good. In other words it makes no difference and in some cases it reduces performance because the 256 mb versions have slower ram.
