Both the Chairman of Governors Gavin Davies and Director General Greg Dyke have resigned. At least they have some integrity.

Given the evidence presented to the inquiry, I would have expected at least some resignations at the top of government. Obviously no integrity there, but that seems to be par for the course for many Labour MPs, particularly Scottish ones.

Presumably you are talking about the top-up fees rather than Hutton. The only significant contribution made by a Scot in the WMDs debate was Cook and his resignation speech was replete with integrity.

I agree though, Hoon in particular seems to have got off very lightly (on a number of issues come to think of it). I am not yet convinced Blair had a lot to do with the mechanics of the leaking of Dr. Kelly's name. Presumably time will tell. The support shown to Greg Dyke by BBC staff is unprecedented and I am not surprised the Government are making peace overtures and suggesting drawing lines in the sand. They are not flavour of the month at Shepherds Bush.

And a lot of them are very good investigative journalists.

I see that the new Chairman of Governors has made a grovelling apology to Downing Street. But then, I wonder who appointed him?

Please post these when they appear?

I would be interested in reading them unexpurgated by our press.

I see on Channel 4 news tonight that they have conducted a telephone poll on the Hutton report. Simple question - "was it the right result"?

They had over 34,000 calls and 10% say it was right, 90% say it was wrong.

With Rice and now Bush seeming to question the quality of evidence I think this one could rumble on a while yet.

It seems there is a sort of debriding taking place.

I'd be happy to know why this is all so one-sided at this point.

Doesn't it seem there must be several more shoes to drop?

That means even most of the Pro-War lobby dont believe it.
