    Welcome back!

    I don't know what i've done but my PC will not shut down. This has happened before but i forget how i fixed it.

    800Mhz
    256ram
    20gb h/d
    Win98SE,,, all critical updates except SP1. Any1 know how to save this?
    Zone Alarm
    Sygate Personal Firewall Pro
    SVG Anti Virus
    SpyBot
    Bullet Proof SpyWatch
    Nero 5.5.9
    Tracks Eraser Pro
    ThumbsPlus 5
    VoptXP
    SoundForge 6

    Thats as much info as i can think of.
    Any1 Have any idea's

    There is an update which fixes shutdown problems on Win98SE.

    Do a search at www.microsoft.com

    indeed... i had that problem 2... but there is a fix in microsoft.com

    FIXED

    As i said i have all critical updates on my drive. I must have missed that 1.
    Thanks for reminding me Lamsey & Wocus.

    I still want to know how to save the SP1 file to disk.

    I thought that SP1 was just to update the First Edition so it's the same as SE

    I think SP1 is all updates in 1 file. When i install the updates the SP1 file is cut down to aboot 30mb. The more updates you have installed on your PC the smalller the SP1 file is. I have the SP1 file for XP & that is 124mb!

    I have to disable the power button cos i got a VICIOUS temper & usually beat up on my keyboard. I've had six in ten month's
