    No wait, look (10-117) and I think that might do the trick for converting an Optical Input to Output.

    impossible.

    doing something like this would require changing the fundamental design of the main board in you receiver/dvd combo.

    if you're talking about connecting any optical cable, than this is for audio only. video is still sent in analog form via an s-video cable or a yellow composite/rca cable. (this varies outside the US)

    that being said, if your receiver/dvd combo has optical(or coaxial) inputs than you can experience audio in true dolby digital pleasure from any source connected to it.

    So connecting an optical cable from a TV with an Optical-IN to a DVD combo with an Optical-IN would work?

    the TV would require an optical out so you can feed the signal to the in of your DVD/combo.

    dude i will have to change terminoligy so this makes sense...

    ok input=male connecter
    output=female connecter...
    OK in this perfect world there is no homosexuals or lesbians now...

    your All-In-one has a Male connecter
    Your _______ devise that puts out audio like a PS2 has a female connecter... your tv has a male connecter.. this WILL NOT WORK MALE + MALE = HOMO = NO WORK

    it would work if you had this set up... say your comp has this female optics connecter and the all-in-one has a the Male one... now, that would work boy+girl=straight...

    DO YOU COMPREHEND WHAT I AM SAYING???

    sorry for being so harsh... it just seems that you won't accept the simple truth... it won't work... so i had to blast it into you so that you would believe it...
