After system loads the operation system files and reboots, as it reboots you go into BIOS and instruct the system to boot from the harddrive only.
Then the system will not boot from the disk again.![]()
It doesn't sound to me as though he has Windows installed so what is the PC supposed to boot from in the HDD?

First time around, you press a key (when asked) to boot from cd. It copies installation files to the hd and makes it bootable.
Second time around you don't press a key so it boots from hd and continues with the installation. But if you press a key you keep repeating the first bit.

yeah..once it formats or w/e then restarts just let it go..it should work fine...i always leave the cd in the whole time.
