The possibilities are a bit black and white though. I don't think you'd have to be 18 to watch porn, but I don't think it's healthy to show a 7-year old all the ins and outs of an exciting sexlife . I think parent should decide this. No child is the same, some are ahead, some are behind

Oh I never disputed that at all
I agree, I just think if someone can legally have sex at 16 then how come they can't watch porn?

    One point, here.

Porn can't be "regulated" or "administered" on a case-by-case basis, according to a child's relative maturity.

It would have to be managed "totally", or not at all-this is a purely logistical obstacle that cannot be overcome.

    Also-

Those who say, "If you don't like it, don't look...", or "Change the channel..", or similar drivel?

That's like saying, if you don't like the smog, don't breathe the air.

No matter what anyone says, the net cultural and social effect of porn is negative; there are people who shouldn't be within miles of the stuff who are immersed in it, and preying on others as we speak.

Your right to view porn shouldn't outweigh a youngster's safety, but that, unfortunately, is where we're at.

The people who practice perversion don't even seek to hide their activity anymore, they want it recognized as normal, and legally sanctioned; witness NAMBLA.

Hard to wrap my mind around that one.

Nambla is peanuts compared to what the churchleaders in America caused....

At least NAMBLA says what they're about, how sick that may be.......

Pushing childmolestors to dungeons only makes them harder to get.(and harsher

when it comes to covering up their crimes.......)

It's what you don't see, that scares me.

If no-one opposed to the NAMBLA, there would be something seriously wrong!!!

But that's not the case, happily!!

One more: My guess is that NAMLA-members are only a very small group

compared to the parents, priests, social workers, etc. that can't tell right from

    wrong.

If we really want to change things, it's important to notice that this world we live in

is created by people, like you and me.......

Making each and everyone responsible for what going on.........

Pointing at "just" the "peadophiles" is shortsided and won't help one bit..........

Not pointing only at pedophiles, Yogi.

Without getting into it further right now, my point was that NAMBLA seeks a legal backstop for their activity; the activity of predatory priests, while hideous, wasn't an attempt to take a judicial "end-run" to legality.

    Okay.

Still i'd rather deal with sick people trying to get legallity(wich they won't get), than

the priests etc. who just take that "right" and wanna make us believe how holy they

    are........

    That was my point.

i think it should be for a certain age limit but 18 is stupid!

im 14 and admit that i do look at porn and find it perfectly natural and i know that i am at a suitable age wether other people say i am or not

edit. I think there should be a age limit such as 13 or 14 only because thats the age we learn about it at school so if its the right age to learn about it educationally it should be a suitable age to watch it
