...my kid I would want to be able to have more control on the images he/she might see at a young age espicially if I am trying to instill my own social morales into the minds and souls of my children...

Are you aware of the efforts, through legislative and legal means, to prevent you imbuing your children with anything?

It would seem you have the correct idea as to parental responsibility and influence; be advised the liberal establishment has a different assessment as to your role in raising children. [/b][/quote]
darn it I was gonna say that!

option 1....obviously
the first thing around you when you were born was your moms cunt stretched around your little body, that is perfectly normal, yet your not allowed to see a naked human being in a movie, internet, or in person? thats bullshit
the female body is a beautiful thing and should be shared and shown off to anyone and everyone, as for the male body, only if you swing that way, i dont but some do i guess

One or two interesting assumptions here.

1) Don't the girls get a say in the matter?

2) The male body - I am only guessing here, but a few girls might also "swing that way" hence you are looking at 50% of the population.

Yes but no law can stop the kids neurons from firing and even with all the laws that have been passed so far I can find loopholes and i am not a brain surgeon....your kids peer group has more influence then you or the goverment ever will have and the kids social order functions like a bio-feedback loop..hence presidential canadites that go on MTV and use kids slang and try to look cool...hell you had the 60 minutes veteran newsguys getting their ears pierced because it was the fad of the week...parents have less and less of an impact ever generation and its not goverments fault....it's a broad soup of reasons..and the main one is...data and exchange of information...as the world gets smaller and smaller and kids grow up quicker and quicker the kids in question choose what priority of importance to assign to the data coming in...and they question EVERYTHING it has become human nature..no longer can parents say"because I said so" and get by with it...and this is happening all over even under regimes that have stricter laws than the US...Hence to get back on topic I could see how a parent has the right to TRY to limit their kids access to certain data in the hopes that the parents can affect the outcome of said child....but I know of some kids and we here of this all the time who have money a good education a religious upbringing and still go bad..we all look for things to blame..the goverment whatever...I hate to say this..but had a friends son who broke down and admitted that sometimes he and his friends are bad.."JUST BECAUSE I WANT TO BE" exact quote....its a choice...all a parent can do is try to do the best that they can do and hope..whether porn fits in is up to the parents so i voted 18+...it should be 18+ or at parental discretion..to be how i actually feel...

I agree that a parent can, using a lot of creativity, still influence their children, but, what you call "government" (think, Hillary "It Takes a Village" Clinton), tacitly acknowledging and guiding the courts, is culpable for the lack of parental primacy in child-rearing; yes....peer-pressure, et. al. are hindrances, but if you look a bit harder, I think you'll find what were considered 25-30 years ago to be parental prerogatives have been undercut by the courts.

In any case, I'm glad you take an interest-hope you are not the last.

and 25 to 30 yrs ago you didnt have cell phones or the internet....the tribal bonding of kids are getting stronger then parental bonds and the goverment has little effect on that..it didnt start it and it cant stop it....no past civilization has had the information/data glut and ease of access that we are coming into. just like moveable type and the printing press brought on the French reveloution. not the romans...ottomans..turks nothing...technology is changing so quickly that only the young or truely dedicated can keep up...we have reached the point where tech growth is surpassing our laws by leaps and bounds and the young realize this even on a subliminal level...ironic kinda..our lifespan is increasing but only the younger ones of us will be able to keep up with our changing tech...the older ones will all be like Anne Rice vampires...so lost due to constant culture shock that they hafta hook up with some one of that generation(by making them a vamp) or going insane....

I know this is mostly off topic altho stems from the 18+ porn thing..and dont wanna hijack this thread or anything..but feel free if u have anything to add discuss..whatever not sure if there is enuf in this for a seperate topic tho...anyhow yes I take an interest..I am keen on observing societal traits and indicators of what we are...

I think, if you are as interested as you say, you might enjoy a book by Judge Robert Bork (yes, THAT Robert Bork) called, "Slouching Towards Gomorah".
It explains my POV better than I could can, insofar as what I see being responsible for the "tribalism", etc., that you attest to.
