No, the sun will be so HUGE, its diameter will expand beyond the earth&#39;s orbital path.

i also agree with this theory too from spindulik Every year it seems to be getting hotter an hotter by the year , is it because global warming or the sun getting closer and closer to Earth.?

I was serious about the calendars all ending however...If u want a scientific answer..our sun is in middle age..has waht another 7 billion yrs or thereabouts? not big enuf to be a black whole or form a nova..will becoma red giant then shrink down to a brown dwarf star..I think..however i feel that we wont be here by then if we stay..dont spread out to other planets then the odds are that some other global event will wipe us out before the world ends when our sun dies..we should go the way of mars..it&#39;s called dessertification....of course so many ways for us to go..asteroid...some mutated bilogical cause...nukes...another ice-age...I would vote for the asteroid since we have been hit before and the more time passes the more the odds are that we will get hit again...
