yeah it does, it has an uplink port, so u can connect a switch or hub into it to expand. the router is alot more versatile, and safer,

but u cnat really put it that way, as u can but bigger ported routers, and also smaller ported switches. u can get 8port routers, not sure about bigger ones.

suppose about the safer bit doesnt matter, as the network gets bigger its harder to configure the router as it will run out of the number of ports u can forward,
