Problem With An Avi File

I have downloaded an avi movie, however, it has the description of TEG. I can't play the file.....is this a codec? and if so where can I get the codec........I am new to this stuff so it might be a dumb question to ask, but I really really wanna see the movie. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks

Strap, I recommend you check out the movie with a great little program called G-spot. It will tell you if the file is ok and whether you have the required audio/visual codecs.. I also recommend the SLD codec pack which includes G-spot in it. Just folow the link below:
