Maybe it's time that we define what defines "suck" in the context of this thread.
Seems like a lot of films are being classified here simply because the subject matter is not of interest to the poster.

It's a good idea but as they say in show biz "I don't think it's going to play to this crowd".
The fact of the matter is that besides you ,me,chalice and a couple of others nobody bothers to read anything more than the thread title and the post immediately preceding their own(and I'm stretching with that one).
So unless you are proposing a title change to something like "wonderful movies that I lack the brain cells to appreciate" I think it's wasted breath.
I could live with that.
Clearly, I was being naive and altruistic.
Given that a large percentage of our participants are not even conversant with Citizen Kane, it would be a stretch to assume the critical ability to separate "movies I don't like" from "movies that suck".
You may recall that I am not a fan of From Dusk Till Dawn but I don't think it sucked, it just failed to draw me into it's mythology.
Battlefield Earth on the other hand, sucked on every possible level.
I'm not sure even MST3K could parody it successfully.

Tropical Thunder was a big disappointment for me.
I wrote Battlefield Earth is maybe the worst move made in the last 30 years on a forum someplace.I can't remember if I did here as well.
Your comment also got me to look back at some of the other posts .
Besides No Country-There will be Blood,A History of Violence,Children of Men and Pulp Fiction are movies I should avoid as well.
But don't worry the extra time gives me no reason to deny myself the pleasure of watching(since all horror movies are good) Saw,Hostel and their sequels any longer.
Well Wicked Lake did suck , I like Lesbian horror movies but that was bad .
There are enough "lesbian horror movies" to comprise a genre?
Color me surprised (but intrigued).
Peat, what example would you recommend to a novice?

I don't care what Peat moss has to say, there is only one Lesbian vampire/horror movie the genius that is .......Vampyros Lesbos
Quote IMDB
The Citizen Kane of European exploitation
"Jesus Franco's 1970 VAMPYROS LESBOS is the masterpiece of all Euro-exploitation genres. You can swoon over the Greenaway lighting in SUSPIRIA; you can thrill to the comic-book metaphysics of THE BEYOND; a few solitary freaks might smack their chops over CANNIBAL FEROX. But the Big Mama, the 2001 or INTOLERANCE of the litter, is Franco's fever-dreamy Z movie, a dusted-out collage of St. Tropez glamour, poisonous softcore sex, platter-party lounge music gone Satanic, and more crazy zooms than the entire body of martial-arts movies combined.
Franco has made more movies than probably any other living filmmaker, and there's something intuitive and inspired in each of them. But in none of his other works did he so perfectly combine what he learned, in his zonked-out way, from his masters (Resnais, Antonioni and especially Welles), and his own lurid, kick-addicted, grade-Z technique. This movie isn't just for B-movie weirdos; hardcore Tarkovsky fiends might find themselves after fifteen minute saying, "God...I kind of like this...what's happening to me?"
Actually this movie is just for b movie weirdos. They use to play it all the time on Showcase Canada late on Friday nights.
I think I've managed to get through about 20 minutes of it totaled over repeated viewing .
If you want to see a good lesbian vampire movie I instead suggest you check out The Hunger(1983)Directed by Tony Scott and starring Susan Sarandon and Catherine Deneuve as the highly erotic lesbians.
Plus there's the added bonus of seeing David Bowie gradually rot away .![]()
