I cannot find a film on this topic that I disagree with. (That is, do not think it sucked.)

I would like to add one of my own, and I know that I may be fiercely debated by including it: John Woo's Face Off. It seemed an extravagant misuse of two fine actors and a premise of great potential.

There are so many bad movies, aren't there?

    Re: Stephen King.

I honestly cannot think of a single adaptation of one of his books, novellas, or short stories that has not been either great or at least watchable. The only possible exception may have been his own made for TV adaptation of The Shining, although only because of the desperate sappy conclusion. OK, maybe The Lawnmower Man as well, but somehow that doesn't count because it was so misadapted?

Also, to my memory, the collection of his novellas, Different Seasons, consisted of The Body, Rita Hayworth and the Shawshank Redemption, Apt Pupil, and Breathing Lessons. The last not to be confused with Anne Tyler's work of the same name.

The first three were made into films, and I would love to see the last as a short feature, gruesome as it was.

Btw, what is it about Steven King and prison settings? I mean Shawshank Redemption and The Green Mile were both quite similar, except the latter added his trademark eeriness...

I hope that this is not a tounge-in-cheek remark. For many years I have thought I was alone in my dislike for Tom Hanks. Forest Gump...I want those 2+ hours of my life back.

Your not alone i'm a member of PATH... People Against Tom Hanks

Can't get in my mind how he can actually win oscars... Even Arnold Schwarzenegger and Stalone are good actors compared with him. B)

I totally disagree with you on the Tom Hanks thing. I think he is a fine actor and does make some fine movies, if my wife loves it and I get lucky then more power to him! Him and Meg have got me laid more than I could say.

As for worse movies, I would have to say the latest two stand out just because they are still fresh in my head.

The Hours with Nicole Kidman - totally will make you think about committing suicide when it finally ends. Just an overall downer of a movie about things most of us would rather not think about, let alone spend time watching.

Dana Carvey's latest "Master Of Disguise" was absolutely terrible, "my three sons" and I all looked at each other once it was over and stated at the same time, that was bad, very bad.

But overall I can usually find something I like from most movies. I am a huge Stephen King fan, but aside from Stand By Me and The Shawshank Redemption the movie versions were excessively flawed and just plain horrible. Probably the worst one I recall is IT, the book was fantastic, I read it the first time when it was new and I could not put it down. The made for TV movie was ridiculous and did not even come close to what transpired in my head while reading the book.

As for The Postman, I rather liked that movie, not for Kevin Costner, but for the idea and as someone already mentioned Tom Petty playing himself was rather ingenious.

Jeepers Creepers was a poor movie, however it was kind of cool with the bad guy being the victor and had 1 or 2 seriously scary moments, albeit few and far between. Most of the movie was totally predictable and that always ruins a scary movie, for me anyway.

Talk about bad actors... What about Mel Gibson?!

That dude has some serious issues when he has to cry on camera.
Have you looked at the stupid faces he does? :x

He's not natural. You can always see that he's acting (badly).
    Damn that guy sucks!
