The file size I understand, it's the 80x80 bit that seems superfluous.
It's to make it clear that the avatar is limited to 80x80 pixels, so that no-one tries to use a big image that would be too blocky at low resolutions.

Cool here are a few places to go and read about hosting your avatars on a site for free so you can post a URL where you saved it etc:
Save these into your favorites and read about them at your leasure.
This is a site you can host your image for free:
Hosting
If you want to learn about .gif files heres a cool site:
Gif Works
A great place for animated gifs:
Animated gifs
If you need to find a place to load a picture to a host ( which you must do) ask through a link at Kazaa or go to this very good computer help site:
Helponthe.net
Most any any any page you go to will have graphics you may like. But they need to be small (what they call 50 x 50 in size) The site above called gifworks is the place to go once you find art you like to make it right size. Do some reading.
Basic instructions to save art to a file. Right click on an image and with the drop down list choose "save as" a new window will open. I like to go to document files/pictures or you can even ahead of time create your own file in program files and call it what you want. ie: "My web art" Anyway once you right click and choose the folder to save to, name what your saving / and save it. If it is an animation make sure it's end extension is named .jpg If it is just graphics name is ending with .ipg or .bmp (Others may give you bettter tips on this and reading through all the many websites will fill you with education!
Try this one other site for fun!:
Animation Factory
Good luck!
