    how do u erase it?

    First Locate it:
    Windows XP Home= C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\DRIVERS\ETC
    Windows 2K/XP Pro = C:\WINNT\SYSTEM32\DRIVERS\ETC
    Win 98\ME = C:\WINDOWS

    Then open it with notepad, then select all, and delete, and save.
    BUT DO NOT DELETE THE LOCAL HOSTS ENTRY!!
    Leave it there before you save.
    It should look like this "127.0.0.1 localhost" or "0.0.0.0 localhost"

    Or you can use the HOSTS file manager by Aldo, and select to clear it.
