    Well when I try to make a .gho file it reboots opens and the then fails saying it can't find or write to the external suggesting I may need more drivers, though after talking with the maker of the hard drive they were clueless and said there are no special drivers. The external works fine for all other applications...

    Need more detals. What is this external (device) you are using. Is it a external USB CD-Writer? Maybe you are using disk overlay software or your bios is doing something weird ?

    Its a 200gb Hitachi internal hard drive that is cased in a usb kit as an external on a 1.1 usb wire...
