Max Processor Motherboard Can Handle?

what is the powerfulest processor that my KT3 Ultra2 MSI motherboard can handle? my box says up to ahtlon xp 2200+ but i hear it can handle more, if so how much?

Here is a link to your board. Does that look like your board? I cant be sure if it is because there might be different makes of your same board.

That site says it only supports up to 2200.

Here is a BIOS update that will allow it to support AMD 2600XP.

u can prob oc it to about 150-170Mhz more than 1.8GHz so close to 2Ghz....

but u'll need good cooling

u can take up to a 3000 barton with most recent bios update. if that is the exact board u have,

that is my board and i got the new bios from the link, how can it support a 3000+?

there is a 5.7 bios update which supports up to a 3000 barton(333fsb)

That bios version does not support XP3000+ (but it does support XP2600+). For XP3000+ support you need version 5.7 which is available here.
