Sciman, how is the 500GB hard drive set up? two 250's on raid 0?
For the hard drives, seeing as how this is upper end rig were setting up here, I would suggest two 36GB 10k raptors, with a raid.

If you ask me, Alienware is overrated. I while ago I was checking out a PC at alienware.com for about $1,600. I went to buyxg.com and customized a PC with the same exact parts, my total was about $800.
