Can't Delete Network Bridge In Xp Pro

I have configured my network and I am trying to get rid of an old network bridge but receive this error when trying to delete it: "An unexpected error occurred while configuring the network bridge."

If XP won't allow me to delete it in the control panel, how can I get rid of it. Surely there must be a way, but deleting won't do the trick for me. Any suggesstions will help. Thanks.
