Dvd Burning

I have roxio easy cd/dvd creator 6 , ok , so the problem is that when i make a dvd with files from my computer , any episode or movie , it doesnt fit my tv screen , the subs are way to low that you cant even read them , i already read every guide i could , any body now how to change the ratio so it fits the tv screen?

I don't know never done a dvd cut but your TV size may help someone is it 4:3 or 16:9 ?

its 4:3 , ive used difrent programs , but the same problem happens .
