    Athlon 64 chipset/socket 754 not socket A.

its also for a athlon 64

    how i apply thermal paste:

apply a little bit to the heatsync then pull a bit off and put that new bit onto the cpu core, then use a credit card to make a nice perfectly flat, thin layer on the top. then put a latext glove or a plastic bag (i use bag as its slipperier) to rub the thermal paste on teh heatsync into it so that it is a really thin layer that you cannot see but is will be tehre and rub teh excess off leaving it slightly discolored. make sure not to touch teh bottom of teh heatsync or you will put finger prints onto it and it wont have as good contact. now attach the heatsync and your done.
