is it possible to connect a parallel printer via the usb port, as im going to be getting a router with a usb print server built in, and the machines that use it are laptops so there aint anypoint in having the printer plugged into a laptop

Belkin makes a parallel to USB cable, for just that problem.
Rather expensive though, usually like 30 + dollars (U.S.D.)
"Where did he go, George, Where did he go?"
prob nto worth it, the printer is an apollo p1200, prob cheaper buying a cheapo usb printer, as it would be better than the current one,
i dont think think the scanner part of it would work, i have a parallel port scanner and i tried hooking it up to my router;s print server but the software couldnt pick it up. btw, it was a scanjet 3200c.
its for at my g/f house when i bring my laptop down, an dshe needs a new printer and wants that one, but i bet she wouldnt even use the scanner anyway, thats why im just trying to get her to just go for a normal usb printer
That printer isn't worth getting an adaptor.

Just one little thing... Why didn't you post a picture or a link to show us the printer? It just makes it harder to help. (sorry but sometimes it gets frustrating)... Taking a break now.
i was just wondering if it was possible generally thats all, since i thought if one works, they all should.
my bad.
