I swear EVERTIME, I D/L a prog. that has more than one disk... I get all but one of them in a matter of minutes.

And the last one ALWAYS belongs to just one person, who has a 3 Kbps connection... AND is only on ONCE A MONTH... FOR AN HR!!!!!!!!

    yes!

i don't understand why some people would have 1 disk, but not the other 1 or 2...

and then they have the .bin but not the .cue or vice versa

by way of a possible answer, the reason people might only have 1 CD of Linux is because lots of people on really use / need one CD.

I downloaded all 3 Mandrake Linux 9.0 discs without reading up much, and discovered that I'd totally wasted my time getting disc 3 as it was just the "internation disc" - with all different languages etc. on, so I've never used it.

Same with RH - I got all 5 discs, but when installing (and I installed pretty much EVERYTHING) it only used the first 3.

With Mandrake, disc 2 is 'extras' (media players, etc.) which is useful I would say, but not everyone needs it.

But I agree that it was mighty perceptive of wolfmight!

you dont need .cue files, they actually dont do anything so long as the .bin is OK. Just burn the bin, usually involves in choosing the list all file types or whtever tab below the filename when selecting the image file in nero. You can even use bins w/o cues for daemon tools.
