fakes and corruptions? very very rare
viruses? i haven't seen or caught one

in fact, overnet is still a very reliable place to get anything safely...if it becomes more popular than kazaa, then i fear the worst
Please be kind to the noobs...we were once them after all

unfortunately i fear that the fact that now that kazaa is down this might (and is anyways) make it the next best taget for telecom companys.
but hey just use it as much as you can and use it to its fullest while it lasts

There are some fakes in the donkey network, but what's cool is that the community reports the fakes (and the verified real ones) in forums so that there are lists created to help someone find out about a file.

I was downloading an 700+ mb movie, and I couldn't preview it with either videolan or avipreview, only to find out it was another movie when it finally downloaded. That was quite annoying, specially since it's priority was set to highest. I reported it to help others. Funny, there were several sources for it, and a bunch of people downloading it. I'm sure they'd get pissed afterwards too.
